Poor Driving And Its Effect On Car Insurance

By Chimezirim Odimba

Usually what makes a driver bad is not the fact that they don't know how to drive but rather that they enjoy making up their own driving rules. These people find it perfectly acceptable to veer in and out of traffic, often honking their horns and using rude hand gestures to fellow drivers.

Possibly, the single leading factor is that the majority of drivers are constantly in a rush to get where they're going. Poor drivers give no regard to speed restrictions unless they see the police ahead, they will turn at any time they come across an opportunity to do so, and they make parking places wherever it is convenient.

As a bad driver comes up to a stop signal they in no way come to a standstill but keep on to moving all the way through. A certain warning of a bad driver is when you spot a driver with a mobile phone fixed to their ear, which is common with a good number of drivers in the US. Because Americans are always on the go, most believe they are experts at multi tasking and unfortunately a lot of this is done while driving.

Eating, applying make up, making phone calls, these are all part of the multi tasking that is common with driving. Bad drivers also have a tendency to drive with one hand on the wheel and the other on their car stereo, often going through CD after CD, trying to find the best choice for the drive. Each and every one of these are diversions and cause an issue with driving.

Bad drivers are always looking for the police which indicates that if you can't drive the way you are driving in front of the police then you are doing something wrong and even worse, you are conscious of it! The number of bad drivers seems to mount as inappropriate hand gestures and verbal arguments become more common.

Furthermore, since the way of life that the majority of Americans keep is without sufficient rest, it is not possible for them to function appropriately while driving. So, a bad driver then is everything that a good driver isn't. What labels a driver as good is their ability to be careful, tolerant, to get adequate sleep, and to be able to focus on what they are doing constantly. What is your driver profile?

It is time to get it together if you think that you may be a bad driver. The consequences of being this kind of driver are going to eventually catch up to you. To begin with, the amount that you pay for insurance will increase significantly over time.

Driving, as you have been is liable to cause accidents and other issues that all come with a penalty. Slow down, keep your hands in the car, and disable your horn if you have to, and stay in your own lane if you want to be able to afford car insurance.
